Well we are back from another successful show in San Diego and our 20th Conference. I hope you all have tuned into our Highlights page (http://www.drj.com/sd99/webshow/pg1.htm) to view actual pictures taken and posted throughout the show. Also be sure to tune into the debut section hightlighting our next upcoming show, the 11th International Disaster Recovery Symposium and Exhibition, to be held in Orlando, FL, September 12-15 ( www.drj.com/orl99/index.htm).Another new addition to our site has been the upgrade of the most-popular web board. Due to popular demand old messages will never roll off the board, they will just be archived on old pages. Also available is a search engine which allows you to search through the new multi-page board and all the old messages dating back to early 1996. Be sure to take advantage of this useful tool. We also are starting an on-going survey of our surfers. The information and results are going to be readlily available to all so please stop by and help us help you. Two new features on drj.com are the free for all links page and the interactive events calendar. These two features allow you to add and share your own information with the regular surfers to our page. If you find in interesting website you would like to share just head to the free for all links page. If you would like to share the dates of a conference or your groups meeting, just head out to the events calendar and post it for the rest of us to see.
This issue I would like to invite you all to surf to Quantums new site "Prove-It" ( www.dlttape.com/proveit/index.htm). As stated on the site " The site was developed by the leading experts in disaster recovery. It's designed to give executives and IT professionals access to the most prudent industry practices and guidelines. The idea being, if your company can't measure how it's doing, you can't prove you're ready for a computer-related disaster". They have organized the site into two divisions, one designed with the corporate executive in mind and the other designed for the professional. This site is very well developed and should be a very valuable addition to your bookmark file!Bob Arnold
