Mission-critical data isn’t getting the protection it deserves. A major reason is the failure of management to recognize the magnitude of the risks and the true ability of their organizations to respond. A lack of communication between those responsible for applications and storage allows undetected interdependencies to develop, creating disaster recovery gaps. Drawing on recent research, this webinar will examine the current state of DR preparedness and offer suggestions for providing your organization with robust protection that is aligned with your business goals. The event is hosted by Disaster Recovery Journal with guest presentations being given by Bob Thomas publisher of Mainframe Executive and z/Journal, Rachel Dines research analyst at Forrester Research, Inc., and Rebecca Levesque, Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of 21st Century Software, Inc. Studies conducted by z/Journal and Forrester will quantify the differing recoverability expectations among various levels and parts of organizations, as well as the frequency and severity of disruptions organizations actually experienced. We also will look at the variety of approaches commonly used for mainframe DR, and the vulnerabilities associated with each. In the end, you’ll understand how managers throughout an organization can find common ground in protecting their mission-critical data.
