Midwest Contingency Planners, Inc. (MCP) was founded and established by Samuel J. Brummett, CBCP,
on July 26, 1993. It is incorprorated in the state of Indiana as an independent not for profit
corporation. The organization serves as a forum for business professionals working in the areas of
business continuity, business resumption, contingency planning, disaster recovery and other related
emergency recovery functions.

Membership in MCP is open to all professionals interested in the many fields of crisis management,
business continuity and disaster recovery regardless of age, color, handicap, national origin, race,
religion, or sex.


MCP meets in and around the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of
each even month, from 1:30 PM to approximately 4:00 PM. Meetings are hosted by the organizations
represented in the Membership of MCP.

The meeting format includes a brief business meeting followed by a short networking session where
members share and help others with problems in the related fields. The meeting continues with a
presentation or program on related Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning activities.
