Disaster Recovery Journal celebrated its 41st conference Sept. 13-19, 2009, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina on Harbor Island.
“Again faced with tighter travel and education budgets, we were still able to offer attendees a first-class show in DRJ fashion,” said Bob Arnold, president of Disaster Recovery Journal. “A huge ‘thank you’ to all attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors that participated making the show another huge success for everyone involved.”
Fall World 2009 was highlighted by a Las Vegas-themed Monday Night Hospitality event, sponsored by SunGard.
“We would like to thank our gold sponsor, SunGard, for hosting a wonderful event,” said Arnold.
Silver sponsors included Forsythe, IBM, and Pathway Systems. Bronze sponsors were CA, Dell MessageOne, eBRP, and Send Word Now. COOP Systems, Dialogic Communications Corp., Hewlett-Packard, Paradigm Solutions International, Pitney Bowes, Verizon Wireless, Sydion, Rentsys, UPS, DRI Intermational and PPBI were co-sponsors of Fall World 2009.
Rolando Buenviaje won the $500 attendance prize drawing while R. Scott Sexton and Richard McNish each won $250. All three attendees also won a free pass to a future DRJ conference.
“The success and growth of this show, despite the economy, will continue with our spring event,” said Arnold. “We are working diligently on the agenda to produce a show covering the hottest topics facing BC/DR professionals.”
DRJ’s Spring World 2010 will take place March 21-24, 2010, in Orlando, Fla. For more information, see pages 73-79.
