Information and Intelligence – These two words are often used interchangeably, yet are distinctly different. They play a crucial role in our situational awareness and decision-making, yet are only as useful as our access to them and the accuracy of the data. This presentation will explore the key differences between information and intelligence, what to watch for when verifying information sources, and share useful sources of information for pre-event planning and mitigation and post-event response and recovery. Information sources will cover a variety of event types including cyber, natural disasters, and man-made threats.
