The term ‘management system’ seems to be everywhere in business continuity these days.  Many standards for business continuity have begun leveraging this approach (including standards chosen for the PS-Prep organizational certification initiative), but what exactly does it mean?  More importantly, how will this simple concept transform the business continuity profession in the coming years?  And, further, how might it contribute to the concept of ‘convergence’ that so many leaders in our profession have predicted?

This webinar will explore the concept of a management system, illustrate how it applies to the business continuity profession, and demonstrate how this simple concept can be an extremely powerful tool in capturing and maintaining management’s support for a business continuity program.

Specifically, we will discuss:

•What is a Management System?
•What Value Does a Management System Present to My Organization?
•Key Characteristics of a Management System
•Key Components of a Management System
•Types of Management System Models
•How Does This Apply to Business Continuity?
•Which Business Continuity Standards are Management Systems Based?
     - Where are they now? Where are they heading?
•Discussion/Questions
