ICOR Forms New Strategic Partnership with BCI

Lombard, IL USA, January 8, 2013 - - The International Consortium for Organizational Resilience (ICOR), an international non-profit professional development and credentialing organization, has formed an alliance between the BCI, a global institute and professional body for business continuity (BC) practitioners.
ICOR will offer a new type of blended learning, combining the ICOR Essentials of Business Continuity & Implementing ISO 22301 Courses with BCI licensed training material based on the BCI's Good Practice Guidelines (GPG). The GPG is the comprehensive and independent body of knowledge for business continuity and an accepted benchmark against which the knowledge of BC professionals can be examined.
This new blended learning courses will provide a comprehensive education program on business continuity based on recognized good industry practice and prepares individuals for the Certificate of BCI Examination, leading to the internationally recognized CBCI credential. The CBCI provides the knowledge requirement for entry into the highly valued Statutory membership of the BCI.
Additionally, ICOR will offer preferential rates to BCI members on their training portfolio in disciplines complementary to business continuity that form part of ICOR's Resiliency Framework including: crisis management and communications; technical infrastructure; organizational behavior; risk management and insurance; emergency management; facility management; social resilience; legal compliance and audit; and supply chain, logistics and transport management.
This new alliance will allow both BCI members and ICOR students to further benefit from some new training opportunities that will add real value to their professional development. An MOU underpins this alliance.
