MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Emprimus LLC, a developer of products designed to defeat the effects of geomagnetically induced currents and electromagnetic interference pulses caused by solar flares, RF weapons and nuclear EMP, has introduced a new proprietary, low cost “inferential” architecture that is the key to affordable detection of high electromagnetic fields.
The Emprimus RF-71 Detector detects a wide range of radio frequency threat intensities, ranging from nuisance levels to those with the potential to damage electronics and cause data integrity issues. The Emprimus approach employs very high speed detection and signal processing of the extremely wide bandwidth waveforms to obviate the need for more expensive sampling systems.
Tailored central control provides alerts, threat identification, direction, magnitude, and data logging at a very low bandwidth. System output can be integrated into smart video systems to enable appropriate security and disaster recovery team responses. Threat frequency response ranges from 100 MHz to 10+ GHz, with threat pulses less than 2 ns. Electromagnetic field levels sensed range from less than 100V/m to 100,000+ V/m.
