We Have The Options
- Published on July 11, 2011
The old saying “when one door closes, a window opens” proves to be true. As continuity planners, we all deal with fast decisions and tough choices. Sometimes, in order to move forward, we must move away from the old methods and not be afraid to try something new. Often, a program we once used or a service provider we relied upon must be replaced. It can be hard to step into the unknown, but it can be very beneficial.
Finding the right fit with new methods and providers is priceless. It can take a job from being impossibly difficult to surprisingly efficient. DRJ has been in business for more than 20 years and we have interacted and collaborated with countless other organizations and individuals. Most pairings have been very successful; at other times, it wasn’t the best fit. We’ve learned from each interaction and have become aware of how important it is to not get stuck in a routine that is not working for your organization.
With the constant change in our industry, it’s important that all of us keep abreast of what is new in the industry. When we get into the habit of never looking for new methods, fresh ideas or different industry pairings, we can close ourselves off from some of the best opportunities.
The business continuity industry is much different than it was 20 years ago. The technology and methodologies have vastly changed – and so have the challenges we must now conquer. The industry has become larger in many ways, yet smaller in the fact there is a push for more globally accepted options.
In today’s connected world, it is important that your program can stand up to challenges from around the world. The same holds true for any service providers you may use. The solutions and technologies must be widely acceptable. The emergence of universal standards and best practices is a huge help in keeping us all on the same track.
For practitioners who are eyeing any type of education program or event, the same holds true. Explore your options and choose the offerings that have the best track record, the freshest content, and that is recognized globally.
Education and certification are two of the best things you can do for your career. Make sure you are getting the best value – and also gaining the most marketable skills.
DRJ’s conferences fit these requirements. We always plan our conferences to address all aspects of business continuity and we always offer solutions that are widely accepted.
We have produced more than 40 conferences in 20 years. That’s a lot of experience behind every show. The content of our shows is constantly updated. We know how to attract the best speakers and the most timely topics. Our attendees who come back year-after-year always comment how each show is so different, yet always relevant. You won’t get stuck in the same routine with a DRJ show.
Our Fall World show is approaching in September. Register now and join the nearly 500 who are already signed up. If you are serious about getting the best education at the best value, then look no further. Tens of thousands of practitioners have benefited from our conferences. But don’t just take my word for it. Visit www.drj.com to view feedback from our attendees.
We also have a concurrent exhibition hall at our conferences, making it the perfect place to explore your options in a simple, easy format. Perhaps you will find a new service or make new contacts that can become invaluable to your organization.
We have the options. Come and explore them at Fall World 2011.
