Here’s a startling statistic: Nearly 30 percent of the global workforce can be characterized as anytime, anywhere information workers. Forrester researchers estimate that these workers use three or more devices, work from multiple locations, and employ many apps. This percentage has climbed from 23 percent in 2011, and it will rise further. Forrester anticipates, for instance, that 905 million tablets will be in use for work and home globally by 2017.
