On November 6, history was made at the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Global Awards. For the first time in the history of the BCI Awards, an American was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the discipline of business continuity. Tom Clark (MBCI) was awarded the 2013 Global BC Manager of the Year Award at the recent BCM World Conference. This award follows on Clark’s 2013 BCI North America BC Manager of the Year which he was presented with at the 2013 Disaster Recovery Journal Spring World conference in Orlando, Florida. “It’s a truly amazing experience winning top honors,” said Clark, “and I am sincerely humbled by this most prestigious global award on a world stage. This was a once in a lifetime career moment.” The 2013 Global BC Manager of the Year Award is a fitting award for Tom Clark who is a well-known and respected senior leader in the business continuity space.
