Effective Utilization and Integration of Business Continuity Tools
To develop a successful Business Continuity Program, you need the right tools to facilitate the planning process. In this session, we’ll cover the key advantages of effective BCP tools and the benefits they offer to support each cycle of the planning process as well as to the organization as a whole. As a key component of a well-designed BCP, we will focus on software designed to store, utilize, and report critical business continuity information.
Learn about integrating BCP tools into the planning cycle:
- Provide standardized, consistent recovery plans and practices with recovery planning software
- Enable better tracking and reporting with key metrics
- Track and store critical dynamic information, such as contacts, with automated data collection
- Enable automation of notification processes with data stored in recovery plans
- Create consistent, standardized plans with structured templates
- Utilize emergency operations and command tools for coordination and storage of information during an event
To ensure that the adoption and use of BCP tools receives adequate management support, we will discuss ways to avoid or overcome the roadblocks and pitfalls associated with establishing these tools within your organization as well as ways to integrate them into the business culture, and educate and train end users.
