Satcom Strategy - Be Prepared or Be History
Throw out your past notions of who needs satellite communications. Everyone needs satellite communications because during disasters ‘normal’ communications are out the window. Think about 9/11, Katrina, regional blackouts, London, Madrid, Baghdad – no landlines, no cellular, no radios. The common thread in all of these scenarios is that communications are disrupted (or non-existent) and you are left cut off.
In this one-hour presentation, satellite phone expert Lou Altman, President of GlobaFone, will take participants through a strategy planning session that will provide them with a tangible take-away; the framework for a satellite communications strategy. Lou’s engaging style, sense of humor and pinpoint accuracy on the issues will make this one of the most valuable hours you’ll spend learning something new. |

Lou Altman has been thinking a little differently and has been an entrepreneur since the 1974 gas shortages prompted him to sell cold sodas to motorists waiting in line to buy gas. With a strong background in communications, marketing and sales, Lou knows how to get people’s attention and help them make a decision. Using a consultative approach, he has grown GlobaFone to be one of the top satellite dealers in the US. Working from the strategic, Lou helps his clients acquire the Satcom equipment and airtime programs that will achieve their results. Organizations such as FEMA, EPA, NASA, DODIG, General Dynamics, BAE Systems, and dozens of other clients have benefited from Lou’s direct advice and GlobaFone’s processes. Testament to GlobaFone’s successful formula is the fact that over 40% of new business is through unsolicited referral.
