Over the years, organizations have developed extensive pandemic plans which are essential to continuity of operations during biological disruptions and widespread outbreaks of a dangerous infectious disease. However, any disruptive event that prevents an enterprise to have access to its workface (e.g., transit strike, flood waters blocking roads into a manufacturing plant, terrorist attacks within a city, curfews, disruption of worldwide air transportation due to volcanic ash, severe weather, etc.) should be mitigated as part of an enterprise's overall risk management. Enterprises increasingly recognize that workforce continuity is a crucial component of any Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. Workforce continuity addresses risk management associated with WHO, WHAT, and WHERE of the workforce independent of the specifics of the disruptive event. This webinar will introduce the participants to the foundational concept of workforce continuity planning and associated strategies.
