Written by  John B. Copenhaver, CBCP Saturday, 05 January 2008 23:37
Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI International) has the brightest outlook for Asia and the Pacific Rim in 2008.  With the introduction of four new regional partners, DRI International is well positioned to expand in this vital area of the world.  It is DRI International’s mission to further the practice of   business continuity management (BCM), by educating and certifying professionals.
These partners, representing the Disaster Recovery Institute, all have long standing experience in each of their respective regions. Each provides the same quality DRI International education and testing provided in the local language and/or English. The entities in Japan and China also carry the added responsibility of processing applications in Japanese and Mandarin, respectively.    DRI International will continue to be the sole body to confer certification for each of the individual business continuity professionals, thus maintaining international recognition of Associate (ABCP), Certified (CBCP) or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP).

DRI Malaysia is the official licensed and an exclusive representative for DRI International with the ultimate objective of promoting and enhancing awareness in the area of business continuity planning and management in Malaysia.

According to Carol Chia, program director of DRI Malaysia, “We are committed to educating Malaysian organizations and individuals to the best International Standards and Practices in BCM.”

Chia goes on to emphasize the group’s commitment to maintaining, “the highest level of professionalism and ethical behavior.”

DRI Malaysia will the be country’s premiere BCM professional training and certification body by continuously providing quality services and courses to our partners and clients in order to make DRI Malaysia a preferred working partner in BCM.

DRI Singapore operated by CCS Enterprise (S) Pte Ltd, and follows the same mission as the entire DRI International group. The DRI-Singapore operation team has a large number of CBCP trainers, many of them with more than 20 years of industrial experience from different fields.

“All DRI-Singapore instructors are currently BCP professionals with years of experience in planning, response, plan development, exercises, and audits,” states DRI Singapore’s Managing Director, Winston Poon. “Our team strives to exceed expectation in both teaching and achieving the highest results and to frequently meets with the Singapore authorities for the latest regulations updates.”
DRI International is proud to announce the new relationship it has with each of these exceptional companies in the Pacific Rim. It is an excellent step in providing the kind of service the industry has come to know and expect.
