This Tuesday session will guide attendees on how to design, develop, and conduct a facilitated workshop that is customized to their organizations.

Critical insights will be provided that can guide professionals to make informed decisions that are focused on what needs to be considered and included to make these decisions unique, specific, structured, and a risk-based approach for their organizations.

Dennis Wenk, principal consultant for Dimension Data, will show attendees how to apply content to their organizations as they start or continue their transition to the cloud and various offerings in the marketplace. Valuable information will be presented that is derived from significant experience in heavy technical issues and business imperatives.

Key insights to monitor the current progress of the cloud transition program, along with specific access to take-aways, will also be discussed.

Wenk has more than 40 years of experience as an advisory consultant. He has consulted worldwide with Fortune 500 customers, generating demand for cloud infrastructures and implementing cloud computing solutions for technology-intensive organizations in more than 20 different countries. He also has tackled the challenging, complex, and ambiguous problems associated with these transformations.

His experience includes developing architectures and strategies for highly available, resilient, and secure infrastructures in hybrid IT-environments.

Wenk has performed quantitative operational-risk assessments that economically justify the significant investments required to build, transform, and maintain resilient IT-environments. He has performed technology assessments; developed consolidation, transition, and migration strategies; created site selection criteria; and consolidated hundreds of complex heterogeneous IT organizations.

This presentation will be a hands-on working session with interaction. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their experience and ask questions.

Wenk says his presentation is different from other presentations because his is a “repeatable process that brings real insight and structure to complex issues.” His experience with assisting organizations with a variety of important next generation business continuity issues will be part of this structured but interactive roundtable framework.

“This workshop is designed to quickly uncover the current-state conditions and future-state objectives for IT service resiliency,” says Wenk. In addition, this session will increase understanding of the salient components required to reach higher levels of IT service resiliency.
