Additions to Executive Team Reinforce Vertiv Growth Agenda

Leadership additions designed to increase customer focus, accelerate growth

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Vertiv, formerly Emerson Network Power, today announced multiple additions to its executive team as it accelerates into its second year as a private company. The new appointments fortify the business for anticipated growth in 2018 as Vertiv continues to reposition itself in its key markets and organize around its core tenets: customer focus, innovation, employee development, and speed.

Heading into its second year of independence after separating from former parent company Emerson, Vertiv and the leadership team are focused on enhancing customer relationships, streamlining information-sharing internally, and shortening innovation cycles across the company. The leadership team also continues to evaluate all aspects of the business, including the Vertiv portfolio of products and services, the markets it serves, and its global footprint and operations.

The full executive team reporting to CEO Rob Johnson now includes:

  • Giordano Albertazzi, president, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Albertazzi has spent nearly 20 years in ascending roles across the Emerson Network Power and Vertiv organizations, at various times assuming responsibility for plant management as well as services and sales for EMEA.
  • Frank Bibens, president, global services. Bibens has been in this role since 2011. He joined the organization in 2006 following a 28-year career with GE and is responsible for the Vertiv services team.
  • Andrew Cole, chief organizational design and human resources officer. Over the past 20 years, Cole has led organizational development programs, corporate talent strategy, leadership development, and change management for multiple global companies and holds all of those responsibilities with Vertiv.
  • David Fallon, chief financial officer. Fallon brings more than 25 years of experience in financial management with global companies to his current role managing the Vertiv financial portfolio. He most recently served as chief financial officer at Clarcor, Inc.
  • Victor Fetter, chief digital officer. Fetter has more than 25 years of experience in using technology to strategically grow global businesses, and at Vertiv is responsible for continuing the transformation of the customer’s digital experience as well as the use of technology for operational excellence.
  • Colin Flannery, worldwide general counsel. A 20-year veteran of corporate law, Flannery most recently served as worldwide general counsel
  • Jason Forcier, executive vice president, infrastructure and solutions. Forcier is responsible for large infrastructure products and solutions. He joined Vertiv in 2017 after eight years with A123 Systems, the last four as CEO.
  • John Hewitt, president, the Americas. Hewitt is responsible for Vertiv activities in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, including Mexico. Before joining Vertiv, Hewitt held various leadership roles with technology companies in the U.S. and abroad.
  • Pat Johnson, executive vice president, integrated rack systems. Johnson, a veteran of 20 years in the data center business, joined Vertiv in 2017 and today oversees the integrated rack systems portfolio. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of strategic initiatives for Artesyn Embedded Technologies.
  • Stephen Liang, president, Asia-Pacific. Liang started with Emerson in 1994 and has been in his current role since 2009. He leads Vertiv activities in Greater China, Greater India and Asia.
  • Tarek Maguid, chief operations officer. Maguid is responsible for global operations, supply chain, and shared services. He most recently held the same position with BWAY Corporation.
  • Gary Niederpruem, chief strategy and development officer. Niederpruem, a 20-year veteran of the organization, is responsible for leading the Vertiv strategy, corporate development and marketing functions.
  • Angelica Smallwood, chief of staff. Smallwood is responsible for coordinating and executing enterprise-wide initiatives. She most recently worked on mergers and acquisitions at Nationwide Insurance.

“In our first year as Vertiv, we have strengthened and streamlined our internal systems and processes, eliminated waste, and sharpened our focus on our customers,” said Vertiv Chief Executive Officer Rob Johnson. “We will build on our progress by investing in employee development and bold, innovative additions to our portfolio, all with an eye toward the ever-changing needs of our customers.”

Vertiv and the leadership team kicked off 2018 with a pair of significant acquisitions. Vertiv announced the purchase of Energy Labs, a global manufacturer of air handling solutions, and Geist, a global manufacturer of Rack Power Distribution Units, in January.

“The executive team we have put together over the past 12 months has been instrumental in the acquisitions and ongoing integration of Energy Labs and Geist,” Johnson said. “They bring exceptional experience and enthusiasm to everything we do, and have embraced our culture of collaboration, innovation and transparency.”
