What critical communication solutions would you need if a devastating event occurred in an administrative building, production facility, or data center that was essential to your continuing operations?

Consider the following scenario:

  • You feel and hear an explosion in a nearby building
  • Injured employees, damaged infrastructure, and an active structure fire are found on the premises
  • The building is quickly evacuated, and emergency responders arrive
  • News media become aware of the emergency and begin surrounding the area
  • You initiate one conference call with members of your business emergency operations team, and a second call with top executives and managers
  • Very quickly, it becomes clear that the facility is hopelessly damaged and cannot be reopened without a major recovery effort and total rebuild

Industry best practices show that an appropriate and effective crisis communications solution can literally be a life safer and business interruption mitigation tool. It will enable your response teams and executive management to become more rapidly aware of an incident, gain visibility into the status of employees and assets, and collaborate securely, accurately, and efficiently with internal resources and third party services. You will have better intelligence and firmer control of business continuity efforts and communications with employees and stakeholders around the globe.

You are invited to join Disaster Recovery Journal on November 9, 2016 for a digital seminar that addresses these and other essential emergency planning and crisis communications issues. Panel members include industry experts from the AtHoc division of BlackBerry Limited, the pioneer and recognized leader in networked crisis communications, protecting millions of people and thousands of global organizations.
